Luis Enrique is on the verge of becoming the new head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, as negotiations between the club and the former Spain coach have progressed significantly.
This news comes after Arsenal Manager, Mikel Arteta, made it clear that he was not interested in the position.
PSG had confirmed earlier this month that Christophe Galtier, who led the team to victory in the 2022/2023 Ligue 1 season, would not continue as head coach next season.
While several high-profile names were initially linked to the vacancy, including Jose Mourinho and Julian Nagelsmann, talks with the latter did not progress towards his appointment.
PSG Football Advisor, Luis Campos, had suggested considering Arteta, but sources indicate that no discussions took place as it became clear that Arteta had no intention of leaving Arsenal this summer.
