Major Disruption At Lagos Airport As Runway Close For Maintenance

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has declared that the Runway 18R and 36L at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos will be closed for maintenance over a period of eight weeks.

Since this runway is dedicated to international flights, all such flights have been diverted to Runway 18L on the domestic wing.

Passengers are to expect delays as aircrafts can now utilize only one runway.

Taxiway B-18L will be utilized instead until the maintenance work is completed.

This decision has sparked contentious opinions among airline stakeholders with Kingsley Nwokoma, President of the Association of Foreign Airlines and Representatives in Nigeria, urging FAAN to stick to the 8-week timeline while aviation expert Capt.

Ayodele Sasegbon and Capt. James Daniel points out that passengers should be prepared for potential delays due to traffic congestion from multiple planes using one runway.
