David Raya, Brentford’s goalkeeper, is at the centre of a potential transfer tug-of-war between Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea.

All three clubs have an interest in signing the 27-year-old and he will need to make a decision about whether or not he should stay at Brentford.

Thomas Frank, Brentford’s manager, has said that Raya is not leaving midseason and so all three clubs will have to wait until the end of the season before making their move.

As it stands, Manchester United are seen as having the greatest chance of capturing Raya’s signature due to David De Gea’s revival this season.

However, Spurs and Chelsea may be tempted by Raya too – with Hugo Lloris’ powers waning at Spurs and Kepa Arrizabalaga taking back his No 1 spot for Chelsea.

A fee of £20million has been mooted for Raya who is keen to play Champions League football in order to reach his aspiration of being Spain’s first choice keeper.

The race is now on amongst the Big Six to secure David Rayas services before someone else snaps him up.
