Wilfred Ndidi’s time with Leicester City looks set to end, as Turkish club Beşiktaş steps up with a serious offer that finally gets a nod from the Championship side – www.naijnaira.com reports.
After rejecting an earlier €7 million attempt, Leicester has now agreed to a revised proposal that aligns closely with the €9.5 million buyout clause in Ndidi’s deal.
Despite penning a new contract extension last year, a built-in release clause—activated after Leicester’s Premier League exit—left the door open for top clubs to make their move.
Manchester United had shown interest, alongside Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, but Beşiktaş are the first to throw in a formal bid that made Leicester pause.
Buchi Laba wrote on X, “Ndidi don’t want to play Championship football, and there’s an agreement he will leave if an offer comes in.”
Ndidi, 27, wants a return to top-tier football and is open to relocating, even after returning from injury this year and regaining his spot under new boss Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Though still under contract until 2027, he’s made it clear he doesn’t plan to ride out more seasons in the Championship.
His goal is simple—get back to the highest level possible, and Beşiktaş seems to be his way out.
Official confirmation from either club hasn’t dropped yet, but the move is already being treated as a done deal in many circles.
Should this deal wrap up, Ndidi would be joining a growing Nigerian presence in Turkey, with Victor Osimhen recently landing at Galatasaray from Napoli.
