Manchester City's Rodri named UEFA Champions League player of the year

Rodri, the midfielder for Manchester City, has been named the UEFA Champions League player of the year after scoring the winning goal in the final against Inter Milan.

He played in almost all of City’s matches in the tournament this season and scored two goals.

In addition to Rodri, six of his teammates were also named in the team of the season, including Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva, and Kyle Walker.

The Goal of the Season award went to Erling Haaland for his impressive acrobatic strike during the group stages against his former club, Borussia Dortmund.

Overall, Manchester City had a strong showing in the Champions League this season, winning the tournament and earning several individual accolades.
