Kylian Mbappe, the star player of Paris Saint-Germain, has urged the club to extend Sergio Ramos’ contract, as the former Real Madrid player’s deal with PSG is set to expire this summer.
Mbappe, who was promised a say in the club’s transfer decisions before signing a new three-year deal with PSG last year, believes that Ramos is an essential part of the club’s project.
Despite rumors that Ramos’ contract won’t be renewed, Eduardo Inda from the Spanish show Chiringuito de Jugones reports that Ramos is negotiating his continuity with the Parisian team for one more year.
Mbappe’s support for Ramos is based on the belief that he is one of the few signings who has shown commitment to the club.
Since joining PSG in 2021, Ramos has played in 54 games across competitions and scored five times.
