Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is expected to receive a €50m offer from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) if he decides to join the French club.
Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis believes that PSG is the only club capable of affording Osimhen.
Other top clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich have withdrawn from negotiations due to Napoli’s high asking price.
It was previously reported that PSG had made a €120m offer for Osimhen, which was rejected by Napoli.
However, Napoli values Osimhen at €150m, and no club is currently willing to meet that price.
De Laurentiis stated that if PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi submits a bid of around €200m, they will consider it.
However, he personally believes that Osimhen will stay at Napoli.
If PSG manages to secure a deal for Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, Osimhen would be an ideal replacement for the striker.
It is reported that if Osimhen joins Napoli, he could receive a salary of €50m and become the star of the team.
However, Osimhen is not particularly interested in a move to Ligue 1.
Last season, Osimhen scored 26 goals and provided five assists in 32 league appearances, contributing significantly to Napoli’s Serie A title win.
He also became the first African player to win the prestigious Capocannoniere award for being the top scorer in Serie A.
