Juventus have entered the mix for Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi, with the Super Eagles midfielder drawing serious interest from clubs across Europe, NaijNaira can report.
Ndidi’s future remains in limbo despite signing a new deal last summer. Leicester’s drop to the Championship triggered a £9 million release clause, leaving the 28-year-old open to a cut-price transfer this summer.
“Ndidi’s consistency and ball-winning skill make him a top target,” said transfer insider Ben Jacobs.
Italian side Juventus are lining up the Nigerian star as part of a midfield revamp. They see him as a solid partner for Manuel Locatelli and Arthur Melo.
La Liga’s Real Betis are also in the hunt, aiming to rebuild their midfield with experience and versatility ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Premier League sides Manchester United and Everton remain in the conversation. Both are long-time admirers of Ndidi, who registered five assists in 28 games last season.
“Ndidi is one of the best midfielders outside the top six,” an ex-England international recently said in praise of the Nigerian.
He’s featured in over 220 Premier League games, scoring seven goals and notching 14 assists. He also helped Leicester to their 2021 FA Cup title.
On the international stage, he’s earned 65 caps for Nigeria, including a stint at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
As Leicester gear up for another Championship campaign, Ndidi wants top-tier football and could be headed for Serie A, La Liga, or back to the Premier League.
