Netflix to Crack Down on Password Sharing

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Netflix has announced that it will be cracking down on password sharing among UK and US subscribers.

The streaming service has stated that a Netflix account is intended for use by one household only, and those who wish to share their account with someone outside of their household must pay an additional fee of £4.99 in the UK or eight dollars a month in the US.

This move comes as Netflix faces stiffer competition and rising inflation, having already begun clamping down on account sharing in Chile, Costa Rica, and Peru last year.

The company has also rolled out the extra member subscription in Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, and Spain in February.

Netflix has begun sending emails to customers in the UK about sharing between households, but has emphasized that all members of a household can use the service wherever they are, and can take advantage of new features like Transfer Profile and Manage Access and Devices.

Despite this crackdown, Netflix has stated that it continues to invest heavily in a wide variety of new films and TV programmes to provide its members with a satisfying viewing experience.
