Bayer Leverkusen star, Victor Boniface was rushed to the hospital after a serious car crash on Saturday.

The 23-year-old had just helped his team secure a victory over Eintracht Frankfurt earlier that day by scoring the winning goal.

However, he later shared distressing images on social media, showing significant damage to his black car and injuries to his hands, which were covered in blood.

Thankfully, he later reassured his fans with a positive message, stating, “God is the greatest,” hinting that his injuries are not life-threatening.

This incident followed a turbulent week for Boniface, who was part of the Nigerian national team that faced a chaotic situation at an airport.

The players and staff were stranded for 18 hours without food, water, or phone access after their flight to Libya was diverted to an abandoned airport.

Frustrated, Boniface shared his concerns on social media, stating, “This is getting scary now. You guys can have the point. We just want to return to our country!”

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) later confirmed the situation, noting that the team had been left without any reception or transportation to their hotel, which was three hours away.

The players ultimately decided against playing the postponed match against Libya due to the ordeal.
