Cristiano Ronaldo and his super-agent Jorge Mendes have surprisingly gone their separate ways after nearly 20 years of working together.
The 37-year-old forward stunned everyone by leaving Manchester United to play in the Saudi Arabian team, Al-Nassr.
However, it was not Mendes who negotiated Ronaldo’s move to the Middle East, but rather a personal manager – Ricky Regufe.
According to Publico, the split between Ronaldo and Mendes occurred after the Portuguese superstar gave a high profile interview with Piers Morgan which reportedly made Mendes upset as he believed it impaired Ronaldo’s chances for signing with another top European club.
