Aisha Yesufu, a popular Nigerian activist, has expressed her reaction to the suggestion made by the Federal Government for Nigerians to consider cycling as an alternative means of transportation.

The government’s advice is aimed at promoting a cleaner environment and a healthier lifestyle.

The Director of Road Transport and Mass Transit Administration, Musa Ibrahim, emphasized the importance of cycling in Nigeria and its potential to reduce road accidents.

The suggestion aligns with World Bicycle Day, which recognizes the bicycle as a sustainable means of transport.

However, Yesufu criticized the government for not reducing their own cost of governance while expecting the struggling masses to make sacrifices.

She expressed hope that citizens are now paying attention to the political process and that change will come eventually.
