Nigerians React to NDLEA, Naira Marley's Collaboration Against Drug Abuse

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Nigeria has faced criticism from some Nigerians on social media for partnering with controversial music artist Naira Marley in a campaign against drug abuse.

Naira Marley, known for openly flaunting cannabis and smoking in his visual content, visited the NDLEA headquarters in Abuja and declared his support for the War Against Drug Abuse.

Many Nigerians expressed their disapproval of the partnership, questioning the agency’s choice of collaborating with someone with a history of promoting drug use.

Reacting to the development, @bigtimmi wrote, “Nigerian Government paid Naira Marley to read scripts to us . I’m sure Naira Marley will still do his shi tonight lol🤣🤣Nigeria is just a joke of a country.”

Another user, @bankaikokoju tweeted, “We no serious for this country 😂😂.”

@Blis_up wrote, “Naira Marley visit @ndlea_nigeria isn’t important because we all know he’s still going back to smoking. He just went there to pay a visit and has normal routing. Maybe he can get updates on what’s new in town 😂😂😂. If u believe he’ll stop smoking 🚬 coz of the visit you’re a bingo.”

@Niffy15 wrote, “Naira Marley as NDLEA ambassador against drug abuse is the same thing as appointing Hushpuppi as EFCC ambassador 😂”

@Bigtimini tweeted, “Naira marley is now NDLEA ambassador make dem just make Davido ambassador of DUREX, Make hushpuppi EFCC ambassador and kanyo kanyo ambassador of human affairs make we know say Nigeria nah skit 😭😭💔.”

“Naira Marley as NDLEA ambassador against drug abuse. Don’t be surprised if Hushpuppi becomes president in some years to come. Nonsense country,” @IamGeeworld opined.
