The Chidi Ibeh-led faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has expressed concerns that the North may work against President Bola Tinubu if a rerun is ordered by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) on September 16.
According to Ohanaeze, the Northern leadership and political leaders are dissatisfied with Tinubu’s presidency and are waiting for the tribunal’s verdict to execute their plan.
Ohanaeze also mentioned that the Northern leadership prevented the planned invasion of Niger Republic by the Tinubu-led Economic Community of West African State (ECOWAS), emphasizing that there will be no coup d’état in Nigeria unless the North sanctions it.
The organization warned Tinubu about the dangers ahead and highlighted recent coup attempts in Francophone African countries as a warning against fraudulent election results, bad governance, lack of respect for the constitution, and the imposition of geriatric leaders by the West.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo called on Tinubu to address the hardships faced by Nigerians and be cautious of the North’s stance.
