The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is looking to introduce an E-Naira platform for its members in partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The internet money will offer a convenient and secure payment system at no risk.
Habib Yusuf, Deputy Director of Information and Technology for the CBN, highlighted this when he visited the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja.
E-Naira would facilitate onboarding of multiple users as well as offline payments for goods and services.
In response to the request from the CBN, Mrs. Christy Ifeyinwa Uba, Acting Director General of NYSC, expressed her appreciation for the innovative idea.
She stated that any development that can improve their service year will be considered enthusiastically by the management.
