The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has strongly advised against the misuse of its uniform, an action that could result in imprisonment.
According to the Director of Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, offenders will face a N1,000 fine or six months imprisonment.
Megwa stated that anyone not associated with NYSC found wearing its uniform would be charged under Section 14 of the NYSC Act.
He emphasised that such actions have painted the organization in a negative light as it strictly remains apolitical and neutral during this election period and beyond.
Violators will henceforth face legal consequences from the Corps management without hesitation.
