Former Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has praised Victor Osimhen as one of the most unstoppable strikers in Europe right now, NaijNaira can report.
Speaking to Turkish outlet GsGazete, Omeruo said Osimhen’s impact in Turkey proves why he could be the most valuable signing this summer.
“He is a great player for Türkiye,” Omeruo said, adding, “He has a very good character and makes a serious difference.”
“Do you know his strengths? Agility, quickness, speed. Osimhen has all of these,” he added.
“There is not a single defender in Türkiye who can stop him,” he concluded.
Osimhen had a standout loan season at Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals and adding eight assists across all competitions.
His performances helped the club secure the Turkish Super Lig title and the domestic cup.
Juventus, Al-Hilal, and Galatasaray are all pushing for his signature, while Premier League clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool are reportedly watching closely.
The striker has expressed interest in moving to England, but none of the top four clubs have made a formal approach.
Napoli, Osimhen’s parent club, are expecting him back for medicals on July 14 or 15 unless a transfer is agreed before then.
His €11 million salary and €75 million release clause for foreign clubs remain key obstacles in any potential move.
Napoli might allow Osimhen to train separately or include him in their pre-season camp in Trentino if no deal is finalized.
The 26-year-old has already rejected a move to Saudi side Al-Hilal despite their aggressive pursuit earlier this month.
