Nigerian teenager Kparobo Arierhi has left Lillestrom to join Mjondalen in Norway’s second division after struggling for minutes at his former club, NaijNaira can report.
According to reports, the 18-year-old striker made the move to secure more playing time and continue his development after limited action since returning from the U20 AFCON.
Arierhi played just 34 minutes for Lillestrom following Nigeria’s third-place finish at the tournament in May.
He was part of Aliyu Zubairu’s Flying Eagles squad and scored once, showing promise but falling short of high expectations.
Arierhi, a product of the Beyond Limits Academy, is known for his pace, sharp finishing, and commitment on the field.
“He’s got great technique, and great composure as a number nine,” said Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi. “Maybe you could be the next Osimhen, or even better.”
At Mjondalen, who currently sit bottom of the OBOS-ligaen, he is expected to get more consistent opportunities.
The Norwegian league still has 17 games remaining this season, offering him a chance to reset and prove himself.
Many Nigerian players have succeeded in Norway before, and Arierhi will aim to follow that path and revive the buzz around his potential.
