President Buhari Signs Executive Order On Managing Presidential Transitions

President Muhammadu Buhari has taken a major step towards having a smooth transition of power.

He recently signed an executive order on the Facilitation and Management of Presidential Transitions.

This order establishes a legal framework for the transfer of power between presidential administrations, as well as establishing a Presidential Transition Council, to be chaired by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

This council will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to the 2023 Presidential transition programme.
