Reports have revealed why Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not get his transfer wish to return to Barcelona this January.
The Gabon international had recently signed with Chelsea in the summer for €12m, however has only played 88 minutes in three appearances since the Blues’ return from the World Cup break, leading to reports suggesting he is ‘depressed’ and wants out of London.
Despite reportedly being back in touch with Barcelona boss Xavi in an attempt to move back to La Liga, Mundo Deportivo have dismissed any notion of a potential January transfer as it would be viewed as three transfers within one season by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
This makes Aubameyang’s transfer impossible since Barcelona already registered him to play before he transferred to Stamford Bridge.
