The Lagos State Police has confirmed that Nigerian rapper Mohbad died as a result of a physical altercation with his childhood friend, PrimeBoy, in Ikorodu.
The altercation led to Mohbad sustaining injuries, which ultimately caused his death.
The Lagos Police Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa, announced the names of the individuals apprehended in connection with the singer’s demise during a press conference.
According to Commissioner Owohunwa, PrimeBoy attended Mohbad’s show in Ikorodu on September 10, 2023, and a violent fight broke out between the two, resulting in Mohbad’s injury and subsequent death.
PrimeBoy is being treated as a suspect in the case.
