Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has spoken about his future at AC Milan, sparking renewed interest in where he might play next season. The 25-year-old struggled to find regular minutes in the just-ended campaign but has dropped a clear message about his current intentions.

NaijNaira learnt Chukwueze is not ready to walk away from the Serie A giants just yet, despite interest from both Fulham and his former club Villarreal.

Limited Minutes Raise Questions Over Chukwueze’s Role

Chukwueze featured in 26 Serie A games last season but only clocked 180 minutes of playtime since January. The arrival of Massimiliano Allegri as Milan’s new coach offers a fresh start, though it remains uncertain if that means a more prominent role for the Nigerian winger.

Reports suggest Milan may be willing to part ways with the attacker, prompting both Fulham and Villarreal to monitor his situation closely.

Fulham and Villarreal in the Picture

Fulham, looking to bolster their attack, are reportedly one of the Premier League clubs interested. Meanwhile, a return to Villarreal could also appeal to Chukwueze, as he previously enjoyed a strong run of form with the Spanish side and would likely get UEFA Champions League football.

Chukwueze Praises AC Milan Supporters

Despite the uncertainty, Chukwueze’s recent comments suggest a level of commitment to the Rossoneri.

Milan’s supporters are among the best in the world. They truly deserve more… They stand with us through rain and cold, taking off their shirts, singing, and backing the team wholeheartedly,” Chukwueze told Modo Victor.

He added that although last season fell short of expectations, he is hoping for a turnaround with success in domestic competitions and a return to the Champions League.

Should Chukwueze Move On?

After two seasons in Italy, Chukwueze is yet to secure a starting position under three different coaches—Stefano Pioli, Conceicao, and most recently Paulo Fonseca. While a new manager is in place, past trends suggest that another year of uncertainty could lie ahead.

Fulham could provide regular minutes in a competitive league, while Villarreal offers familiarity and European competition.

Samuel Chukwueze may still see himself at AC Milan, but with concrete interest from Fulham and Villarreal, the next few weeks could define the next stage of his career.
