Scott McTominay has completed a £25.7 million move to Napoli from Manchester United.
The 27-year-old midfielder has spent his entire club career at Old Trafford, joining the youth system at the tender age of five.
McTominay made his first-team debut for the Red Devils in 2017 and has accumulated 255 appearances without ever going out on loan.
Reports suggest that Napoli will pay a transfer fee in the region of £25.7 million for McTominay, who has featured off the bench in both of Manchester United’s Premier League games this season.
The deal also includes a 10 percent sell-on clause.
Following the transfer announcement, Manchester United shared an emotional tribute on social media, stating, ‘The Red who lived his dream. Your United family wishes you nothing but success in this new chapter @mctominay10.’
McTominay will join Napoli under the management of former Chelsea and Tottenham boss Antonio Conte, who has already signed Romelu Lukaku this summer.
Napoli are also pursuing Brighton’s Billy Gilmour as the transfer deadline approaches.
The sale of McTominay is expected to free up funds for United to finalize their £51 million pursuit of PSG’s Manuel Ugarte.
