Rasmus Hojlund scored twice as Manchester United secured a 3-2 win over Bodo/Glimt in Ruben Amorim’s first match in charge at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils got off to a fast start when Alejandro Garnacho capitalized on a goalkeeping error to open the scoring just 50 seconds in.

However, Bodo/Glimt responded quickly, with Hakon Evjen curling in a brilliant equalizer on 19 minutes, followed by Philip Zinckernagel’s goal four minutes later, putting the visitors 2-1 ahead.

United struggled against the well-organized Norwegians but found an equalizer just before halftime, with Hojlund showcasing excellent individual skill to volley Noussair Mazraoui’s cross into the far corner.

After a system change at the break, United dominated the second half. Hojlund put them ahead on 50 minutes, finishing from a central position after a well-worked move down the right.

The hosts had opportunities to seal the win earlier, but Garnacho missed two good chances.

Despite the nervy finish, United held on for just their second European win of the season.

The victory lifts them to 12th in their group standings.

Manchester United will now turn their attention to the Premier League, with Ruben Amorim set to take charge of his first home match against Everton on Sunday.
