Shakira’s mother received medical attention after Doctor discovered a blood clot in her leg

 Shakira’s mother was admitted to the hospital after a blood clot connected to deep vein thrombosis was found in her leg by the doctor.

Nidia Ripoll was first thought to have experienced a stroke, however sources close to the singer reportedly told American Spanish-language TV network  that she had deep vein thrombosis instead.

Her brain has reportedly not been affected by the illness. However, the singer hasn’t make any comment yet regarding her mother’s illness.

Also, her father, William Mubarak, was having difficulties.

William Mubarak, is said to have been struggling with his health following an operation last year in Barçelona which is said to have been linked to her decision to delay her move to Miami with her two children following her separation with former Barçelona footballer Gerard Pique.
