Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim is set to complete the full takeover of Manchester United within the next two months.
The Glazer family announced in November 2022 that they were seeking alternative investment for the club, leading to multiple bids from hedge funds.
The final and most significant offer came from Sheikh Jassim, totaling just over £5 billion.
It is expected that an announcement on the winning bid will be made next month, with the entire process set to be completed by mid-October.
Sheikh Jassim plans to wipe out the club’s current gross debt of £725m and has no intention of taking dividend payments like the Glazers.
Additionally, there are plans to upgrade both Old Trafford and the Carrington training ground, as well as continued investment in the team under Erik ten Hag.
