In a tragic incident, a pastor was killed and several worshippers were abducted during an armed attack on a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Ogun State.
The attack took place at the church’s location in Abule-Ori, part of the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.
The commander of the Ogun State So-Safe Corps confirmed the incident and reported that the special operation team of the Corps had swiftly responded to a distress call.
As a result, all seven abducted individuals were rescued, and one of the assailants was killed during the operation.
The police and the So-Safe Corps have initiated a manhunt for the kidnappers who managed to escape.
The deceased kidnapper’s body has been moved to a local morgue.
