Arsenal look set to complete the signing of Poland international Jakub Kiwior from Serie A side Spezia, in a deal worth around £20 million ($25m).
The 22-year-old defender, who can also operate in a defensive midfield role, is expected to travel to England imminently to finalise his move.
His arrival follows that of Leandro Trossard from Brighton, and both signings will vastly improve Arsenal’s squad depth for the remainder of the season.
In particular, finding cover for Gabriel Magalhaes has been important for Mikel Arteta as he’s had to use the Brazilian centre-back in all but one of Arsenal’s 21 matches this term ahead of their home clash against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
