In the latest FIFA Coca-Cola women’s world ranking, the Super Falcons of Nigeria have made a significant climb from 40th to 32nd place.

This ranking comes after their impressive performance at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, where they finished second in their group and reached the round of 16.

Despite losing in the first knockout stage to England in a penalty shootout, the Falcons were recognized as the 10th best team of the tournament.

Other African teams, including South Africa, Morocco, and Zambia, also saw improvements in their rankings.

Sweden, who finished third in the World Cup, now sits at the top of the rankings, replacing the USA.

The next ranking will be published on December 15, 2023.
