Pop star Shakira is trying to distance herself from her ex-partner Gerard Pique’s parents with the construction of a wall between their properties in Barcelona, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
This comes after several recent conflicts between Shakira and the footballer’s parents, including a black mannequin being placed on the terrace by Shakira that Pique’s mother had asked to be removed.
In addition, the loud playing of Shakira’s new song thought to possibly be a reference to Pique’s current partner 28-year-old Clara Chia Marti, and an old video featuring criticism of his mother’s style advice has caused further tension between them.
Finally, after 12 years together, Shakira and Pique formalized the end of their relationship last year.
