Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag remained defiant after a 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham, their second consecutive 3-0 loss at Old Trafford following a similar defeat to Liverpool.

Spurs took the lead early with Brennan Johnson’s goal before Bruno Fernandes received a controversial red card.

Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke added goals in the second half, leaving United 12th in the Premier League table with just seven points from six games.

After the game, Ten Hag reassured his players, telling them, “Tomorrow is a new day,” and expressing confidence in their ability to bounce back.

Looking towards upcoming fixtures, Ten Hag emphasized the need for improvement and unity among players, ownership, and coaching staff. He stated, “We are all on one page or in one boat together.”

United’s next challenge is a Europa League trip to FC Porto, followed by a Premier League clash against Aston Villa.

Gary Neville, a former United player, suggested the team should meet without Ten Hag to discuss their performance and take responsibility for their poor form, emphasizing the need to quickly regain control of the dressing room.
