Three Nigerian Football Referees Suspended Following Investigation by NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has suspended three match officials for their below-par performance in two games of the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Centre referee Ndubuisi Ukah and assistant referee Otuwho Morrison were punished for the poor handling of a game between Shooting Stars and Kwara United that took place at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

Similarly, Faro Abdulrahman was suspended for his poor display in a match between holders Rivers United and Niger Tornadoes at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt – Abdulrahman had disallowed a legitimate goal scored by the visitors during this contest.

All three referees have been asked to explain their actions before the referee’s committee.
