Tottenham’s managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, has been hit with a worldwide ban by FIFA after an initial ban in Italy was extended.

Paratici was serving a suspension in Italy after his former club, Juventus, was found guilty of false accounting.

Paratici joined Spurs in May 2021 and was involved in the search for a new manager following Antonio Conte’s departure last week.

However, FIFA’s extension of the ban means he will have to step aside. Juventus and Paratici have appealed the sanctions.

Tottenham’s interim head coach, Cristian Stellini, will steer the team until the end of the season, with Ryan Mason providing support.

In a recent interview, Paratici said that Conte’s departure was the right decision for everyone and that the club was focused on securing a top-four finish.

Despite the setback, Paratici expressed confidence in Stellini and Mason’s ability to lead the team to success.
