A woman in her 20s was viciously attacked by two dogs while walking down a residential street in St Helens, Merseyside.
The attack left her with serious injuries to her arms, and she was rushed to the hospital where she is now in stable condition.
The breed of the dogs has not yet been identified, but both have been detained by Merseyside Police for the safety of the community.
Detective Inspector Barbara Hebden has urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward and emphasized the importance of dog owners being mindful of their pets’ behavior, especially when in the care of others.
She also advised owners of aggressive dogs to keep them in a protected space and on a lead or muzzled when out in public.
The incident was traumatic for the victim and residents who attempted to help her during the attack.
