A tragic incident occurred at the Sokoto command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), resulting in the death of Inspector Abel Isah Dickson.

According to officials of the anti-graft agency, the altercation between Dickson and two of his colleagues arose from a disagreement over the custody of items.

The identities of the other two officials involved in the scuffle have not been disclosed.

The incident took place on May 5, 2023, and Dickson passed away on May 7 at Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital in Sokoto.

The EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed the incident and stated that the two suspects had been arrested and handed over to the police.

This unfortunate incident highlights the need for conflict resolution and proper protocols for handling sensitive materials within law enforcement agencies.
