The National Universities Commission (NUC) has directed all universities in Nigeria to shut down from February 22 to March 14, 2023, to enable students to vote in the 2023 General Election.
Dr Chris Mayaki, the NUC Deputy Executive Secretary, officially issued the circular to all vice-chancellors upon signing the document.
INEC in January earlier revealed that students make up the largest category with over 26 million eligible voters or 27.8 per cent of registered voters.
