A police officer named Mala Babagana was tragically killed in Maiduguri, Borno State by a gang known as the Marlians.
The incident was captured in a disturbing video shared by Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst Zagazola Makama.
The Marlian gang is notorious for their brutal attacks on innocent citizens, often snatching their belongings and resorting to violence if resisted.
The video shows Babagana being savagely assaulted by more than ten members of the gang, who repeatedly punched, stomped, and kicked him.
They also stabbed him in the back and took his gun. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Babagana succumbed to his injuries.
The Borno State Police Command has arrested five suspects, including a woman seen in the video, while the main culprits remain at large.
