Biography, Club and International Career
Chukwueze was born in Umuahia, Abia state. He is of Igbo descent and was brought up in a Christian family with a younger brother and a younger sister.
He started playing football at the age of eight and from there, became motivated to play at the pinnacle of the game.
As mentioned earlier, the Villarreal winger’s greatness could be traced back to the 2015 FIFA U17 World in Chile where he was instrumental for Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets as they cruised to a 5th title triumph under the tutelage of Coach Emmanuel Amunike.
As the tournament’s third top scorer, Samuel bagged the bronze boots after scoring three and registering three assists.
In 2017, Chukwueze signed for Villarreal from local side Diamond Football Academy, joining their B team before being promoted to the first team.
