Abike Dabiri-Erewa descends on Arise TV presenter, Ayo Mairo-Ese
Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), recently took to Twitter to call out the owner of Arise TV and urge him to caution his presenters.
In her tweet, she expressed her frustration with women who feel the need to bring successful women down by spewing nonsense.
She warned that they will meet their waterloo.
“I worked hard to be where I am today, and if women nowhere your age and achievements feel the only way to bring you down is spew nonsense, they will meet their waterloo! Nduka Obaigbena had better call these girls @ARISEtv ruining the broadcast profession to order.” Abike Dabiri-Erewa tweeted.
This fallout was triggered by an Arise TV presenter, Ayo Mairo-Ese, who blamed the Buhari administration for demarketing Nigeria.
Mairo-Ese referenced Dabiri-Erewa’s comments about Nigerian youths being cultists and drug dealers, and criticized the administration for calling the same youths “lazy”.
The controversy was sparked by the comments of a UK-based Nigerian Youtuber, Emdee Tiamiyu, about Nigerian students in the United Kingdom.
