Former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, has praised the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, for his visit to the Central Mosque in Onitsha and for celebrating Eid el Fitr with the Muslim community in Anambra State.
According to Obi’s Twitter post on Sunday, he shared good moments with the Muslim community and was pleased to receive their prayers for a new Nigeria.
The former Anambra State Governor also revealed that the Muslims at the mosque told him that he was the only politician who had consistently maintained a close relationship with them and who regularly visited the Central Mosque.
During his visit, he presented gift items to the Muslim community and prayed with them for the emergence of a new Nigeria and the success of the OBIdient movement.
Reacting to Obi’s visit, Adamu Garba commended him for embracing diversity and maintaining a cordial relationship with the Muslim community. He added that Obi had done the right thing and was beginning to see the failure of his alleged religious war plans.
Garba further commended Obi for his display of political maturity and awarded him a 100 level class of politics 101.
