Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru could be returning to Turkey as Antalyaspor opens discussions for a potential move, NaijNaira can report. The Turkish side, aiming to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, is reportedly preparing a private jet to bring the Nigerian star back from holiday in Nigeria.

Onyekuru has been without a club since his contract with Saudi side Al Fayha expired earlier this year. Since then, several Turkish clubs, including Galatasaray, Trabzonspor, and Besiktas, have shown interest, but no formal agreement has been reached.

Antalyaspor, who finished 15th last season in the Turkish Super Lig, are keen to secure Onyekuru’s signature quickly to include him in their pre-season plans.

“If everything goes as planned, a private jet will be sent immediately to bring him in,” Buchi Laba reported.

Onyekuru previously played for Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor, winning the league title with the former. His experience in Turkey gives Antalyaspor confidence that he can adapt swiftly.

He’s currently staying sharp with personal training sessions in Nigeria as he eyes a return to competitive football.

Antalyaspor sees Onyekuru as a key boost for their campaign and hopes to finalize the deal in the coming days.
