The All Progressives Congress (APC) have retaliated against the apparent restriction on mounting billboards of opposition parties in Benin, Edo state by mounting campaign billboards of their presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima at Benin Airport.
This is despite the state government’s claim that it paid for all the billboards in Benin city ahead of political campaigns.
APC outwitted Governor Goodwin Obaseki’s tactics by positioning its boards at both entry and exit points of the airport to grab attention from passersby.
The banners are placed at both entrance and exit points of the airport so that they can be seen by all air travelers entering or leaving.
This act has drawn public admiration for APC’s bold stance on democratic rights.
