Arsenal is determined to pursue the signing of Viktor Gyokeres this summer, despite Sporting Lisbon’s reluctance to sell. The Gunners are also planning to complicate Manchester United’s pursuit of a Girona defender.
Gyokeres has been in impressive form since his move to Sporting Lisbon from Coventry last summer, scoring 31 goals and providing 11 assists in just 34 games. His performances have attracted interest from clubs across Europe, with Arsenal positioning themselves at the forefront of the race, according to Todofichajes.
However, there are two obstacles in Arsenal’s path. Firstly, Sporting Lisbon has no intention of letting the Sweden striker leave, especially for a fee below the 100 million euros stipulated in his contract.
Additionally, PSG is also keen on securing the services of the 25-year-old as they seek to replace Kylian Mbappe. In addition to their pursuit of Gyokeres, Arsenal is also reportedly interested in Girona defender Miguel Gutierrez. Manchester United had previously shown interest in the left-back, but Arsenal now joins the race, benefitting from the advantage of being able to offer Champions League football.
Meanwhile, AC Milan faces a potential threat from Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund in their pursuit of Francesco Camarda.
The 15-year-old midfielder, who became the youngest player to represent AC Milan this season, is yet to commit to a professional contract.
While Camarda’s representatives have agreed in principle to a three-year deal with Milan, formal agreement is still pending.
Manchester City’s association with Palermo, a part of the City Group, could pose a challenge for Milan in securing the young talent’s signature.
It remains to be seen how these potential signings will unfold and whether Arsenal and AC Milan can successfully secure their targets.
