The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the idea of an interim government after the expiration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, stated that “interim government is evil and unacceptable to Nigerians” and urged President Buhari to live up to his pledge to hand over a legacy of credible election.
Moreover, he called for an end to speculation on who was allegedly plotting to install such an interim government amid the current fuel and naira scarcity in the country.
He further challenged the All Progressives Congress, New Nigerian Peoples’ Party, and Labour Party to take a stance against any potential interim government.
