The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has disputed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s suggestion of a potential alliance between his People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and NNPP candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso.
The National Chairman of NNPP, Professor Rufai Ahmed Alkali firmly declared that there were no plans to form an alliance with the PDP and urged Atiku to show respect for his age.
He stated that despite Atiku’s comments, Kwankwaso was still a frontrunner in the presidential race and had done plenty for Nigerians already.
“We have no talks with Atiku and we are not planning an alliance with him,” he said, adding, “He should respect his age and he can’t force anyone to endorse him.”
