Chelsea boss Graham Potter has been issued a warning from Neil Warnock, who has suggested that the Blues may be left to regret their decision to bring in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon international was omitted from the Chelsea squad for their FA Cup tie against Manchester City this past weekend, despite having scored just once in nine Premier League outings so far this season.
Warnock believes Potter should be aware of Aubameyang’s tendency to blame the manager for his own failings, as seen during his time at Arsenal and more recently at Chelsea when he was substituted against City on Thursday night.
Elaborating on his point, Warnack said ‘people like Aubameyang are after themselves really they look after themselves as players and they’ll throw the manager under the bus rather than take any blame.’
On the other hand, Pep Guardiola insisted that Chelsea should give Potter time to make his mark at Stamford Bridge commenting that ‘what he’s done at Brighton is outstanding but we need time in the first season.’
