Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayoode Ariwoola, has stated that the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) will deliver its final verdict without favoring any of the presidential candidates.
CJN emphasized that the judiciary is committed to serving the best interests of the country and urged Nigerians to trust its judgment.
The statement by the director of information of the Supreme Court assured the public that justice will be done to all matters pending in the various courts across the country, regardless of the individuals involved.
“The public should be rest assured that justice will be done to all matters pending in the various courts across the country, irrespective of who is involved,” the statement concluded.
The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also commented on the potential nullification of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 election, stating that Nigerians would celebrate if such a decision were made by the courts.
