South African singer and dancer Costa Tsobanoglou, popularly known as Costa T, passed away on March 12, 2023, after collapsing on stage at the Ultra Music Festival.
He was 27 years old. The musician was born in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga in 1995 and was just beginning to make a name for himself with his hits “Big Flexa Nkalakatha” and “Activate”.
His death came only weeks after fellow South African rapper AKA lost his life in a shooting.
Nothing has been released yet about the cause of death or an official statement from Costa’s family or management.
Upon hearing of his passing, people of the music industry like DJ Neptune and Phil Mphela expressed their condolences.
