Cross River guber election: APC chieftain fumes, slams Obi over endorsement of PDP candidate
The reported endorsement of the Cross River State PDP Guber Candidate, Professor Sandy Onor, by Peter Obi has been questioned by All Progressives Congress Chieftain High Chief Higgins Peters.
Reacting to Onor’s endorsement, he expressed doubts about whether Obi knew the political dynamics of the state and suggested that any statement made was due to ignorance and innocent intentions.
He defended protesters who voted for Peter Obi during the presidential election, pointing out that despite this support for Labour Party, there is still no party of this kind in the state.
High Chief Higgins then criticized the PDP’s choice of gubernatorial candidate being selected from Central and not South as originally intended. He further argued that they had no mindset of winning given their selection process.
