According to reports, Chelsea is willing to offer double the wages of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen to bring him to Stamford Bridge in 2023-24.
With 19 goals and four assists in the current Serie A season, Osimhen has gained attention from several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea.
Despite Napoli’s president publicly stating that Osimhen is not for sale, a significant fee approximating £115m could tempt them to let him leave.
Currently earning €4.5m (£4m) yearly at Napoli, Calciomercato reports that Chelsea is ready to increase his income up to €9m (£8m) per annum.
While Todd Boehly has approved this initiative, Chelsea still faces stiff competition from Manchester United and Arsenal who are also pursuing the Nigerian international.
However, Osimhen recently noted his interest in playing in the Premier League someday; hence he will remain a top priority for Chelsea as they look for a solution to their number nine crisis.
If he joins Stamford Bridge, this could pave the way for permanent departures of Romelu Lukaku and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
